Outsourcing On the Upswing?


One way to gauge companies' tendency to outsource, or hire outside companies to handle big IT jobs, is to look at the value of outsourcing deals already in the pipeline. By that measure, the backlog slipped by about $9 billion in the second quarter from the first quarter. It also declined from a year earlier, according to Technology Partners International.
